Checklist

What do you need for your Video Consultation (VC)?

  • A well-lit, quiet and suitable environment
  • Internet-enabled device (eg: smartphone, tablet, computer) with camera and speaker
  • Zoom application on your device
  • Have your NRIC to show the doctor (or NRIC of patient – for care-givers assisting your family)
  • Ensure that you have updated your email address on the Health Buddy app. Relevant documents may be sent to you via email. 
  • Prepare home readings of your blood pressure, blood sugar (if applicable) and weight prior to the session

* We regret that we may not be able to proceed with the VC if the above conditions are not met. If so, you may cancel the VC by contacting 66436969 to request alternative forms of consultation.

Joining the Video Consultation

  • If you have not received your Zoom Meeting ID and PIN details, please contact our SHP Video Consult hotline at 6340 7473 (Monday to Friday, 8am to 4.30pm) for assistance. Out of these hours, you can call the SHP Call Centre at 6643 6969 for assistance no later than 1 working day before your Video Consult appointment.

    Closer to your appointment date, on the Health Buddy Mobile App - 'Appointments' tab - 'Upcoming' appointments, the Zoom link is embedded in the 'Proceed to Video Consult' button. You can also 'Share this Video Consult Link'
  • Login to your Zoom app 5 minutes before your appointment
  • Contact our SHP Video Consult hotline at 6340 7473 (Monday to Friday, 8am to 4.30pm) if you encounter any technical issues with logging in
  • Enter your Zoom Meeting ID and PIN
  • When using Zoom, kindly key in your (patient’s) FULL NAME, and ensure you have on your audio and video so your Dr can see and hear you
  • You will then be directed to wait in a virtual ‘waiting room’ before the doctor starts your session

Post Video Consultation

  • Your doctor will arrange a follow up for the subsequent appointment
  • Medical Certificate: A digital MC will be sent via SMS to your mobile number 
  • Payment: The preferred mode of payment is via Mobile Pay
  • Results: You may access your results via Health Buddy App / HealthHub
  • Medications delivery: The medications will be delivered to you after receipt of payment. You may receive a phone or zoom video call with the pharmacy for tele-dispensing of the medications
  • Documents: Relevant documents (such as referrals or memos) will be sent to you via email. Please ensure that you have updated your email address on the Health Buddy app

You MUST be located in Singapore at the time of your video consultation.  

For conditions that cannot be safely assessed, diagnosed or treated without a physical consultation, the Doctor may advise you to seek face-to-face medical attention for further assessment.
