Simulated GDFM Examination (‘Mock Exam’)

The GDFM Mock clinical examination is an important component in the preparation for this examination. The mock exam is co-organised by SHP PRIME Institute and College of Medicine Singapore (CFPS) to support the preparation of GDFM candidates. It aims to sharpen candidates' clinical skills through teaching in an examination-like setting, helping candidates to prepare and gain more confidence for the actual GDFM examination​.

Doctors benefit from immersive, hands-on practice across a wide range of common clinical scenarios, coupled with personalised feedback from an experienced faculty. This enables candidates to develop their clinical reasoning, communicate more effectively with patients, and learn from the exposure of being in examination-like conditions.

There will be a simulation of the OSCE examination format, with realistic cases that cover examination blueprinted topics. A debriefing session is held to provide learning points for the candidates. The sessions are conducted by senior family physicians with a wealth of experience.
