Dr Gilbert is a Family Physician, Senior Consultant and Director, Regional Clinical Services (South East) at SingHealth Polyclinics – Head Office.
Dr Gilbert Tan received his medical degree from the National University of Singapore, School of Medicine in 1996. He obtained the Master of Medicine (Family Medicine, Singapore) in 2001, Fellowship of the College of Family Physicians (Singapore) in 2004 and the Fellowship of the Academy of Medicine, Singapore (Family Medicine Chapter) in 2014. In addition, Dr Gilbert has post graduate diplomas in Geriatric Medicine (2007) and Mental Health (2014).
He is an Clinical Assistant Professor in DUKE-NUS Graduate Medical School. He is a Family Medicine Examination Committee (FMEC) member, with concurrent appointments as Deputy Chief Examiner, Master of Medicine (Family Medicine) and Deputy Chief Examiner, Family Medicine Applied Knowledge Test (FM AKT) in Division of Post Graduate Medicine, Yong Loo Lin School of Medicine, National University of Singapore.
