Dr Meykkumar s/o Meyappan

Dr Meykkumar is a Consultant in Singhealth Polyclinics and is the current deputy director for Pasir Ris Polyclinic.

Dr Meykkumar graduated from NUS Medicine and started working in Pasir Ris Polyclinic since April 2014. He is delighted to serve from within the community, having stayed in Pasir Ris since his primary school days. 

Dr Meykkumar believes in putting patients at the heart of his care and has won multiple service quality awards. He loves to teach students, including medical students, GDFM students and Mmed Fam Med students. He believes it’s important to plant the seeds for the next generation and won the Young Educator Award in 2015, Associate in clinical education Award in 2019, Star Faculty Award in 2025. He also understands the importance of having good systems and serves in the Singhealth Polyclinics Acute Care workgroup as the deputy head.  He contributes to educational leadership at a national level by serving as the GDFM programme director.
