How does a patient know that he has the disease?

The earliest symptom/sign is tissue changes in the mouth
Raised growth, swelling or lump
Changes in color with the presence of red, brown or black spots, redness with white or rough patches
Bleeding from the nose or mouth
A sore that does not heal
Burning or numbness in the tongue, lip or mouth
Painful, sensitive or loose teeth
Difficulty in swallowing or talking
