Profile

Dr Samantha Yeo is an Obstetrician & Gynaecologist. She is a Member of the Royal College of Obstetricians & Gynaecologists, UK (MRCOG) and a Fellow of the Academy of Medicine, Singapore (FAMS). She graduated from the Yong Loo Lin School of Medicine, NUS, in 2011, obtained her Master of Medicine (M Med O&G), and thereafter her specialist accreditation from the Singapore Medical Council.

Dr Yeo is especially interested in preconception health, fertility education and holistic pregnancy care. She has extensive training in labour and childbirth, and has performed many vaginal deliveries and caesarean sections. She is proficient in gynaecological surgeries, including minimally invasive laparoscopic and hysteroscopic operations. She has also published and presented her research on pregnancy and complicated surgeries at international platforms - namely, conferences in Paris, London, Australia, and Taiwan.

Dr Yeo participates in multidisciplinary team care, exploring innovative treatment options for common gynaecological conditions, such as fibroids. She was recently a panelist on a women’s health public forum, and is a strong believer in individualized, empowered, patient-centric care.

Dr Yeo is a firm advocate of breastfeeding and postnatal mental wellness. Understanding the impact of Covid-19 on new and expectant mothers, Dr Yeo co-founded a community driven support group, NewMums #SgUnited. She rallied volunteer healthcare professionals to provide free medical advice on pregnancy and postpartum concerns during the Covid-19 Circuit Breaker period, and remains committed to iniatives supporting new mothers.

In addition, Dr Yeo is active in clinical education. She mentors undergraduate medical students and postgraduate junior doctors, and regularly lectures at cross specialty teaching sessions. Whilst completing her own residency training, she served as secretary on the executive council of the SingHealth Residents’ Committee.

As a mother of two, Dr Yeo truly appreciates the trials and tribulations of pregnancy and parenthood. She strives to make every patient’s journey enjoyable, during the reproductive years and beyond.
