Profile

​Dr Eric Cher graduated from Duke-NUS Medical School in 2014 following his undergraduate degree in BioEngineeing from the National University of Singapore in 2010.

He was awarded the NUS achievement award in 2008 for outstanding performance and the Faculty of Engineering Colours Award in 2009 for excellent achievement.

In 2014, he completed his medical degree and was awarded the NUSS medal and SMA-LEE foundation teamsmanship award. The NUSS medal was given to the best graduate throughout course of study for outstanding all-rounded achievement.

Dr Eric went on to further his specialist training in Orthopaedic Surgery. During his training, he has won both the “SingHealth Best House Officer” and “SingHealth Outstanding Resident Award” in 2015 and 2017 respectively. He completed his residency training in 2021

His subspecialty practice is in Foot and Ankle Surgery and General orthopaedic trauma. He has a keen interest in Ankle arthroscopy, Sports injuries, Ligament and Tendon disorder, Cartilage diseases, Arthritis of the ankle and foot, and Foot deformities (hallux valgus, pes planus, claw toes etc).

Committed to evidence based clinical practice, Dr Eric has presented his research work at numerous international conferences, and published articles in many reputable journals.
