"I work in an acute tertiary hospital and nurse open heart surgery patients. Every day, I tell myself I should provide the best possible care for all my patients. I still vividly remember Mr Woo, a patient with a left ventricular assist device. He told me he was worried about having to juggle his illness and his daughter's upcoming PSLE. He felt helpless not being able to coach her as the mathematics questions were too difficult for him.
After hearing his troubles, I told him to bring the questions to me, so that we could attempt them together. His face brimmed with joy when we successfully worked out the answers. I am glad I was able to help relieve some of his worries."
