"Many of my patients need help with daily tasks such as eating and bathing. Some are unable to say what they need and I have to learn what their facial expressions and body language are trying to convey. Sometimes, a simple touch or kind word is all it takes to make them smile.

It is never easy seeing your loved one in pain or discomfort; unable to do what many of us take for granted. Family members can get distressed and need comfort too. As a nurse, I have found courage and strength that I never knew I had. It is not easy, but the friendship and faith I have received over the years drive me to continue giving my all."
