President Halimah Yacob visited the Singapore General Hospital (SGH) Campus today to mark Nurses’ Day with more than 3,500 nurses from across eleven SingHealth institutions.

In appreciation of the nurses’ dedication and commitment to patient care, President Halimah, Senior Minister of State for Health Edwin Tong, with SingHealth senior management gave out flowers and served local delicacies such as ‘laksa’, ‘kueh pie tee’ and ‘nasi lemak’ to nurses.

President Halimah also visited nurses in the ward and major operating theatre, who are unable to join in the event due to work duties.

In addition, 32 exemplary nurses received the SingHealth Nurses’ Day awards from President Halimah in recognition of their outstanding work performance and contributions.
