Duke-NUS Medical School (Duke-NUS) marked an important milestone today with the signing of Phase III Agreement by Duke University and National University of Singapore (NUS).
The funding Agreement will further enable Duke-NUS to build on its strengths as a leader in innovative medical education and research.
The agreement was signed by Duke University’s Professor Eugene Washington, Chancellor for Health Affairs, and NUS Deputy President and Provost, Professor Tan Eng Chye.
“The signing of the Phase III Agreement reaffirms the strength of the Duke-NUS collaboration. It also reflects the robust confidence our stakeholders have in Duke-NUS and its role in transforming medical education, research and clinical care,” said Duke-NUS Dean, Professor Thomas Coffman.
The signing was witnessed by Prof Michael Merson, Vice Chancellor, Duke-NUS Affairs (seated, 2nd from right) and Mr Kai Nargolwala, Chairman, Duke-NUS Governing Board (seated, 2nd from left). Minister for Health Mr Gan Kim Yong and Acting Minister for Education (Higher Education and Skills) Mr Ong Ye Kung were Guests of Honour.
