About the Speakers
Prof Marco Peres is the Deputy CEO, Research & Education at National Dental Centre Singapore. His research interests include global health, the effectiveness of health-related policies, health services research inequalities in health, life course epidemiology and the relationship between oral and general health. He is cited as one of the top 2% scientists worldwide and has achieved notable research awards which include the prestigious NMRC STaR Investigator Award in 2023.
Prof Karen Peres, an internationally recognised researcher in the field of Child Oral Health, is a Principal Investigator of Oral Epidemiology at National Dentre Centre Singapore. She currently coordinates the GLOBICS and her research interests include inequalities in oral health, life course epidemiology, oral health surveillance, and the relationship between oral and general health. She was also the recipient of the 2022 IADR E.W. Memorial Borrow Award.
About the Facilitator
Prof Nicholas Graves is the Deputy Director of HSSR and HSRI at Duke-NUS Medical School. His areas of knowledge cover health economics, health services research, decision making and cost-effectiveness. His major research focus is on showing how health services can be improved at low cost, or even improved with cost savings.
