Message from Chairperson
SingHealth President's Challenge 2010 - We Are ONE Family
A wise man once said, "To put the world right in order, we must first put the nation in order; to put the nation in order, we must first put the family in order; to put the family in order, we must first cultivate our personal life; we must first set our hearts right."
Indeed we need strong families to have strong communities and a strong country. The family is thus the focus of our community outreach and fundraising efforts towards President's Challenge (PC) 2010.
SingHealth Polyclinics is taking the lead this year to organise our annual charity event for the beneficiaries of President's Challenge. With the theme, "We Are One Family", we want to go back to the basics and bring family and community closer together. As we celebrate SingHealth's 10th anniversary, let's come together as one healthcare family to extend a helping hand to the community and the less fortunate.
Everyone can play a part in our key fundraising events, the SingHealth Charity Movie Screening in June and the pledge card donation drive in July/ August and various outreach activities that are coming up over the next few months. You can also make a difference today by buying a Charity Movie ticket at $20, and share it with your family or pledge it for one of the beneficiaries.
Come on SingHealth, reach out and CARE today!

About President's Challenge at SingHealth
Since 2004, the SingHealth family has been organising fundraising initiatives in aid of the President's Challenge (PC) beneficiaries.
Over the years, our efforts have evolved from fund raising to community outreach as we constantly look for meaningful ways to care for the community. Our institutions have organised activities such as rehabilitation programmes for the physically disabled, health screening for the elderly and interactive workshops for the children, amongst many others, to improve the well being of the PC beneficiaries.
2010 is a special year as it marks the 10th anniversary of SingHealth. Even as we work towards defining tomorrow's medicine, we also commit to making a difference in the lives of the less fortunate in the community. The SingHealth family will continue to extend the outreach and fundraising programmes for the beneficiaries of PC2010. Stay tuned to our upcoming PC2010 activities. And join us - make a difference! We Are One Family.

About President's Challenge
The President’s Challenge is an annual series of community-based activities initiated by President S R Nathan in 2000. The aims of President’s Challenge are firstly, to increase awareness about how the community can get involved in helping the less fortunate and secondly, to raise funds for the social service sector. It is hoped that by doing this, a more cohesive society would be created.
The Challenge also aims to convey that the more able in society have a special responsibility to help the rest of society and that all Singaporeans can make a difference in our community. The President’s Challenge highlights the role of the public, people and private sectors in meeting these aims through their participation in events organised. President's Challenge is a platform for the social services sector to rally the public towards helping those in need of assistance.
