SHP identifies patients' risk of a heart attack with a click of the mouse
SingHealth Polyclinics has set up Health Monitoring Stations (HMS) to allow patients with chronic diseases to measure their blood pressure, weight, height and other health indicators while waiting for their consultation. When patients register at any of the polyclinics, staff would direct patients with chronic diseases such as heart disease, high blood pressure, diabetes, stroke, and asthma to these HMS before seeing a doctor. The HMS have been providing cardiovascular disease (CVD) risk calculation for patients, helping patients to estimate their risk of contracting heart disease in the next 10 years.

Medication ID Aid enhances consultation experience and reduces wait time at SingHealth Polyclinics

Developed by a team of SingHealth Polyclinics pharmacists, the Medication ID Aid (MedIA) was recently awarded the inaugural SingHealth Allied Health Innovative Practice Award.  It has helped to improve patient-doctor consultation experience by enhancing the communication process.  Read on to find out more about how an elderly patient has benefited from MedIA.

SHP staff, Ayshabeevi Bte Abdul Rahman - one of the finalists for EXSA SuperStar Award (Healthcare)

Ms Ayshabeevi Bte Abdul Rahman from SingHealth Polyclinics, one of the finalists of EXSA Superstar award, shared about her passion for nursing and experiences caring for patients with Berita Harian.

The annual Excellent Service Award (EXSA) recognises 10 SuperStars, who are individuals who have delivered outstanding service in their respective industries.  This year, all three finalists for the healthcare category hailed from SingHealth institutions, and the eventual winner was announced at an award ceremony yesterday.
